1. Roméo - Iced sweet
It's impossible to talk about freshness without mentioning Roméo, the frosty creator, a local nugget for lovers of original, ultra-quality ice creams.
Their boutique in the heart of La Rochelle offers daring flavors, crafted like true chef's creations. Ice creams, sorbets, coated popsicles or gourmet pots: everything is homemade, with raw ingredients, often organic, and surprising combinations (we love the strawberry - mint - olive oil sorbet).

2. Nouveau'T - bubble tea & homemade frappés
Looking for something fresh and comforting? Head to Nouveau'T, at 14 rue du Port, just a few minutes from the hotel. Here, you can enjoy fruity or milky bubble teas, iced frappés and gourmet milkshakes, all made to order. Matcha, exotic fruits, tapioca pearls or plant-based milk: here, every drink can be customized to your taste.

3. Tonton Maboule - generous ice cream breaks
For a refreshing taste, Tonton Maboule offers artisanal ice creams and sorbets at Plage des Minimes (48 avenue du Lazaret) and 3 quai Valin. Generous proportions, original flavors (mandarin-yuzu, salted butter caramel...) and a friendly atmosphere: the ideal summer break.
4. La Terrasse de la Chaîne - aperitif with sea breeze
Just opposite the hotel, the temporary terrace at the top of the Tour de la Chaîne is the perfect place for a cool aperitif: cocktails, wines and tapas, all carried away by the sea breeze. The panoramic view over the Old Port, the lighthouse and the facades of Le Gabut offers a refreshing and elegant interlude at sunset.
5. Ernest le Glacier - the artisanal institution
A veritable institution in La Rochelle for over 25 years (“Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” label), Ernest welcomes you to 16-18 rue du Port (with a second location on Cours des Dames). For those who like a wide choice, you'll find many flavors of ice creams and sorbets. A gourmet and refreshing break, ideal after a stroll through the town center.
